Who Will Go?

Luke 10
1 The Lord now chose seventy-two other disciples and sent them ahead in pairs to all the towns and places he planned to visit. 2 These were his instructions to them: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields. 3 Now go, and remember that I am sending you out as lambs among wolves.

Jesus sent out teams into the towns and places that He planned to visit, but these teams were not to try to do the job without help. They were to ask God for more workers.

Coming up in September we will have our revival, but revival has already begun. I pray that we all are praying at this time, because the harvest is great now and the workers are few. Pray that God’s church (His workers) will be praying for more workers that will go out into His fields (our community). Soon we will be preparing to head out into our community as a church to outreach and invite people to join us. I pray that God will visit their homes and put an urge in their hearts to want more of Him.

As His workers, we have a job to do. There’s no unemployment or retirement when we are serving Christ. God has plenty of work and is in need of more workers, so don’t sit back and watch, jump in and look for ways to help with the harvest.
Start today by praying.

Who will go into His fields?
